As part of the challenge we had two main deliverable - the research project and the table performance. The third important criteria of core values was really embedded in everything we did. We made sure that every team member had equal opportunity to work on both the deliverable.
e looked for each team member's interest and strength while assigning the work. For example, when we decided to promote our idea with Scratch, we offered it everyone and four of the team members volunteered for it. We didn’t force people to do things they weren’t passionate for. And that doesn’t mean that we made 6 people do everything and the others do nothing-no-no. Also, we didn’t want to exclude people so we made sure that everyone had a hands on experience with everything including programming, brainstorming for the research project, typing the script, trying Scratch, making T-shirt designs, etc.
For the table performance we divided the work by splitting into 3 groups of three. Each group was assigned a certain run and was responsible on finishing it. If help was needed we would ask a teammate from another one of the three groups for help, since it was not a competition. Another example of including everyone You can find another example of our team including everyone and dividing the work is our online polls. The polls allowed people to vote on hard decisions at the privacy of their home. For almost all tough decisions such as research project idea and T-shirt designs we used polls.
